August 1996 New Thinking Nomads, squatters and settlers August 28, 1996: Cyber nomads roamed the early Internet. ‘Information wants to be free’ was their motto. But what they really meant was that they wanted to be free. That they felt free on that early Internet. No laws, no property or other rights. The best things on the Internet were free. More Internet redundancy August 19, 1996: The Internet has evolved much like a life system, by the multifarious contributions of its parts, rather than the direction from any centre. I've chaired this meeting since 1994 and very few speakers have generated the same level of enthusiasm. Wit and wisdom is always an unbeatable combination." Bob Johnson, American Marketing Association “Excellent presenter ... thought-provoking and relevant. I hope we can persuade him to visit us again one day.” Malcolm Davison The British Association of Communicators in Business "Hearing Gerry McGovern speaking, one can feel that he truly masters the subject of content management.
