September 1998 New Thinking The clueless society September 28, 1998: On Friday night a video got stuck in our video player. We rang up the video shop to inform them and that’s when the fun started. None of the staff knew anything. The manager wasn’t there and nobody knew whether we would get a credit if it was the video cassette’s fault, whether we would have to pay rental until we got the cassette out, etc. More Alternative communities September 21, 1998: When I searched AltaVista from 1st January 1994 to 31st December 1994 with the word “Pentium” (Intel’s popular chip), the first 10 ten responses I got all had to do with a bug in the original Intel Pentium chip. I've chaired this meeting since 1994 and very few speakers have generated the same level of enthusiasm. Wit and wisdom is always an unbeatable combination." Bob Johnson, American Marketing Association “Excellent presenter ... thought-provoking and relevant. I hope we can persuade him to visit us again one day.” Malcolm Davison The British Association of Communicators in Business "Hearing Gerry McGovern speaking, one can feel that he truly masters the subject of content management. He was voted ‘best speaker of the conference’ by delegates." Toon Lowette European Association of Directory Publishers Find out more about Gerry McGovern's seminars |
