Absolutely hilarious and insightful talk from @gerrymcgovern on finding out what users are wanting and trying to do, rather than just delivering what the organisation wants users to want to do. #UXCityMCR pic.twitter.com/qUXNzi4UQj

Loving @gerrymcgovern at #uxcitymcr Sooo eloquent on why FAQs are a terrible idea. And the hamburger menu.

Loving the opposing views at @uxcitymcr – this morning, @gerrymcgovern was critiquing brands, now we’re hearing about the importance of brand. #UXCityMCR pic.twitter.com/vA5eQWPdZA

“We need to deliver things that people actually want rather than what we want them to want. Give people control that’s what they want. Make them (users) successful at what they want to do and everything else will be more successful.” @gerrymcgovern #uxcitymcr pic.twitter.com/RUm4ct2s2t

Day 2 of #uxcitymcr kicked off by a fantastic keynote from @gerrymcgovern around using top tasks to understand what users really are trying to do and want to do on your website.

Wise words from @gerrymcgovern at #uxcitymcr :
We need to make decisions based on evidence. You are often the worst person to make decisions on what is the best design. We need to go beyond our egos and design things that people want, rather than what we want people to want.

FAQs are evil. If it's a frequently asked question, it should be in the architecture of the website. FAQs or Quick links is a lazy way to not do proper design. –@gerrymcgovern #uxcitymcr
